Joshua 1:

  • Moses is dead; Joshua has to lead millions of Israelites across the River Jordan into the Promised Land.
  • God gives him some important instructions for leading a nation.

The hardest person you will ever have to lead is yourself.

  • “Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful where you go. Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it; then you will be prosperous and successful.
  • Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous.
  • Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

For the Lord your God

Is with you wherever you go.

This book of the Law

Shall not depart from your mouth.

But you shall meditate on it

So that you may be careful to do

According to all that is written in it.

For then

You will make your way Prosperous.
